Letter, 1776 November 13.

Letter to J.P. Palmer discussing the battle of White Plains. Keith discusses the battle in detail and relates how the Americans stopped the British advance and protected their supplies. Keith also compares the Hudson Valley to his native New England. He comments on the "Dutch girls", who are "Generally pretty well looking and entertaining, but have large ankles." Keith also makes several comments on the manor system and the centralization of land ownership in the Hudson Valley. Written at Peekskill, N.Y.
